From Sketch to Production-Ready
Foxhound Firearms supports startups, inventors, and R&D teams with rapid prototyping, iterative refinement, and a path to production. NDA-friendly. Single-part runs welcome. CNC and manual machining under one roof.
Test, Refine, Repeat — Without the Tooling Bill
Turning a concept into a functional part is where most projects stall. We support iterative design, material selection, and performance testing — helping you refine ideas, reduce risk, and accelerate time to market without committing to expensive tooling on day one.
Whether you need a single proof-of-concept, a small batch for field testing, or a refined version of an existing component, our process keeps you in control of the iterations and out of the dead zone between "idea" and "production-ready."
Common Prototyping Engagements
Automotive Parts
Custom engine components, brackets, and decorative trim. Whether upgrading performance parts or designing unique metalwork, our fabrication ensures durability, precision, and seamless integration.
Custom one-offs and short runs.
Machinery Repair
When industrial machinery breaks down, replacement parts can be impossible to find. We fabricate hard-to-find components, keeping equipment operational and minimizing downtime — high-precision machining and durable materials.
Tools & Jigs
Precision tools are the backbone of manufacturing efficiency. We deliver high-quality jigs, dies, and custom tools designed for accuracy and longevity — helping streamline production and improve precision.
How a Project Moves Through the Shop
1. Brief & Drawings
Send a print, a STEP file, or a sketch on a napkin. We review fit, materials, and tolerances and respond with a quote and turnaround estimate. NDA available on request.
2. Material & Tolerance Lock
Steel, aluminum, brass, titanium, polymers — we'll recommend the right substrate for the application, finish, and lifecycle requirements. Tolerances spec'd in writing before machining begins.
3. Prototype Run
Single part or small batch through CNC mill or manual lathe. Inspected dimensionally, documented, and delivered. We expect refinements and price the next round accordingly.
4. Refinement → Production
Once geometry is validated in your hand, we move into repeat runs with consistent fixturing, QC documentation, and tracking — bridging cleanly into custom metal fabrication for full production.
